"Discover How To Grow Healthy Looking Orchids That Can Add
Warmth, Charm And Elegance To Your Home, Office Or
Garden..."
Orchids
have been grown since the days of the Ancient Greeks and apparently the orchid stems were eaten by Greek ladies for
increased fertility. The most famous botanist of them all Charles Darwin grew varieties of orchids which he used to
help him discover and confirm the theory of evolution.
Orchids
are natures 'little
gems' for they possess beautiful flowering leaves
and stems. They are elegant and as colourful as any other flower and possess a fragrent smell that is
recognised throughout orchid community. But they are known to be a troublesome flower especially if they are not
cared for correctly. And problems can occur with orchids
and flowering when grown in different
climates.
Orchids are some of the oldest flowers in
existence...
Amazingly, orchids have been on Earth for around 80 million years and there are now
1000's of different varieties. They can be cross
pollinators or in harsh, cold climates self-pollinators.
Now, this is important to know for Growing Orchids, as it becomes
easier once you know the different types of environments needed for orchids and the basic and advanced
methods for growing them. Most temperate and
easy to manage orchids are available in nurseries and these include many common varieties such as the
Vanda, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Cymbidiums and
Cattleya.
